Estes Multi-Roc

Multi-Roc is the most versatile rocket I have ever flown. It flies as a single-stage, payloader, dual-stage, and carrier for the included glider. I really enjoyed using the dual-stage to boost the height of the rocket and then watching the balsa glider drift down slowly. If you are new to model rocketry and want to try different ways to launch model rockets, this rocket is for you. It is by far the most sustainable rocket.

Build

Multi-Roc is relatively easy to build. Be careful when cutting out the balsa wood that is very soft and breaks easily. The glider is the most complicated part of building this rocket. Round the edges of the glider with sanding paper to reduce drag.

Launch

I tried the booster and glider options and it was very smooth. Make sure to fly the glider a few times, to make sure that the glider floats to the ground. I also tried it as a single-stage rocket and it reached a pretty impressive height. This multi-functional rocket is reliable and great fun.

Recovery

The parachute included with the rocket is sufficient to get the rocket down. By using the dual-stage, you can fly the rocket very high and watch the glider float down. This glider had the best performance and took the longest time to come down.

If you are not willing to spend too much money on this hobby, this rocket provides you with the most options you can fly the rocket as. Try Multi-Roc as a single-stage, dual-stage, payload, and glider carrier. An afternoon well spent!
