Model Rocketry – Where to begin?

In the summer of 2020, during the onslaught of Covid 19, I decided to take up Model Rocketry. It was a perfect hobby for the time – building and flying my own rockets outdoors. But when it came to finding information about where to begin, I faced many challenges. It was rocket science! I decided to create this website for students interested in taking up model rocketry. If you are patient, meticulous, and determined there is no other activity that is more rewarding.

The posts on this website are categorized based on level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) and also by complexity (Single-stage, dual-stage, glider, cluster). Starting with the easier models, you will soon be able to progress to the more complex models. Take your time building and perfecting the rockets they will help you understand the physics of model rocketry.

I highly recommend joining NARTREK (National Association of Rocketry Training Rocketeers for Experience and Knowledge) an independent organization that has designed a program to help students acquire knowledge and skills in rocketry. The program consists of achievement levels each requiring more skills to complete the challenges. The best part about this program is that it is self-paced and can be completed based on your own schedule. I really enjoyed completing the challenges. Being a visual learner who enjoys learning by doing, this program was perfect for me.
